Sir Ashley Bloomfield trained in medicine at the University of Auckland and specialised in public health medicine. He has 25 years experience in public policy and health leadership, including at the World Health Organization in Geneva. His professional areas of interest are non-communicable disease prevention and control and addressing health inequities. He was New Zealand’s Director-General of Health from June 2018 to July 2022 and led the country’s health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was appointed a Knights Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (KNZM) in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to public health and is now a Professor at the University of Auckland’s School of Population Health.
Fiona has public and private sector experience within technology, banking, insurance, health, property, primary industry and utilities as an executive, director and consultant working with businesses in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Asia. She has led significant strategic change programmes to deliver business transformation and to resolve complex and compliance issues in highly regulated organisations. Fiona has be acknowledged with awards in New Zealand and Australia for achievement in leadership, culture, ethics and industrial relations. She hold a Master of Business Administration and am an alumnus of Harvard Business School. She is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute. She is currently the CEO at Braemar Hospital.
Chief Nursing Officer, Southern Cross Healthcare
Monica is a highly experienced leader in nursing having worked in both public and private, inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings across the US and New Zealand; and led nursing for multiple large complex and multi-site healthcare organisations.
As Chief Nursing Officer, Monica leads the Southern Cross nursing directorate across Aotearoa and brings the nursing perspective to the Executive Leadership Team. She is a strong and active advocate for both career and professional development and the delivery of world class nursing services and patient care.
As registered nurse in both the US and NZ and member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Monica completed her MBA at Massey University in 2011 before moving to the US and working in several key leadership positions within the American healthcare sector. Monica returned to New Zealand in April 2023 and joined Southern Cross Healthcare from the University of Vermont Medical Centre where she was the Director of Perioperative Services.
Tania Kemp is a nurse practitioner who has recently sold the Pleasant Point Health Centre in Timaru, which was the first Nurse Practitioner owned and led clinic in New Zealand. Tania ensured the centre was underpinned by the Māori Health model - Te Whare Tapa Wha.
Tania has been involved in many councils and boards during her career including previously being on the New Zealand Nursing Council. She is currently a council member of Hauora Taiwhenua Rural Health Network (HTRHN). Tania has focused her last two years in governance roles on boards where she can influence change for Māori.
Tania was raised on Pitt Island (Chatham Islands), is one of 11 children with “the most wonderful parents.” Tania and Darcy have three children. They purchased Pleasant Point Health Centre back in 2014.
Tania’s interests include: walking and getting out, surrounded in nature. The bush and the sea are two of her favourite places. Mindfulness and writing are Tania’s “quiet” hobbies. And she is known as an “active relaxer.”
Dr Reza Jarral is a primary care physician and Edmund Hillary Fellow with a masters in the application of ethical AI in health. Reza lectures on AI in society, is the clinical director at CareHQ, and is the inaugural clinical director for equity at New Zealand’s largest primary healthcare organisation, ProCare. Reza collaborates across several intersectional organisations, including the WHO, IEEE and Tech Futures Lab, with the aspiration to shape a brighter and better collective future using technology.
Melissa Crawford is a highly regarded expert in the future of work, with a rare blend of skills that span both people and technology. With experience in senior HR strategy roles across some of New Zealand's largest organizations, Melissa brings a wealth of experience from diverse industries including tech, airline, banking, FMCG, retail, education, and energy.
With an extensive HR career and two technology degrees Melissa brings a unique perspective to the impact of technology on the future of work. Melissa's contributions to the field have earned her several recent accolades, including 2023 HRD Hotlist, 2022 HRNZ Leadership Award winner and HRNZ HR Person of the Year 2022.

Outside work, Vaughn enjoys flying as an airshow and warbird adventure ride pilot and tries whenever possible to arrange business meetings in cities that are too far away to drive to.

Nikki is an Associate Director with PWC in the Hauora practice, with over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry with an excellent reputation for building strong relationships with key stakeholders including iwi and Māori health leads, driving innovation, strategic leadership, ministerial servicing, change management and facilitation.
Her latest roles prior to joining PwC include being the National Localities Director at Te Aka Whai Ora and in the DPMC Health Transition Unit, and prior to this working as the National Primary Care Manager for the Ministry of Health leading out significant policy and service delivery changes during the COVID-19 response.
Nikki has earlier experience working in a Tai Tokerau based PHO, healthAlliance/Northland District Health Board in clinical procurement, and 12 years as a Paramedic at St John Ambulance in Auckland and rural settings.
She has a passion for supporting iwi, hapū and communities to drive locally led solutions which amplify the whānau voice, and strengthening government agencies systems and processes to enable these responses.
Nikki lives with her husband in Ruakākā, Te Taitokerau and is a mother to a blended whānau of five kids aged between 18 - 27 years. She has a Bachelor of Health Science - Psychology and Master of Science - Health Psychology.
